I have not had portraits done in about 10 years. After losing my mom, I realized this portion of her life was not documented. I remember her always having an excuse to stay out of the picture. I didn't want that to be the same for me. I want my girls to see I'm proud of the wrinkles, the gray and the scars.

WHAT TYPES OF PHOTOGRAPHY WILL MY SESSION INCLUDE?

This is entirely up to you, because these images are for you! We'll have time to create the more "standard" portraits, as well as some super artsy, out-of-the box portraits.

Some of our participants have chosen to include family photography with partners/spouses, children & grandchildren, parents, sisters, and pets.

Many of our participants are small business owners, and have chosen to dedicate part of their session to professional headshots and personal brand photos. Others have asked for online dating photos!

And, why not boudoir photography at 50+?

WHO CAN PARTICIPATE?

I would love to photograph a wide variety of women of all ages 50+ (50s, 60s, 70s, and beyond!), all shapes & sizes, and all ethnicities in celebration of the diversity of the Washington DC metro area that we live in.

WHY 50+, WHY ME, AND WHY NOW?

I'm 50. (That's me in the photo at left in the burgundy.) 50 sounds like a big number, and I know I grow older with the passing of each year, but the thing is, I don't feel old. I now have too many grey hairs to pull out, but I don't think I look old. Women 50+ like you and me make up nearly 20% of the U.S. population. I REFUSE to become invisible and forgotten!

So let's work together, starting this very moment. I promise the experience will be fun, fulfilling, and transformational. You hold the keys to REVOLUTION... let me coax it out of you!
